THE USE OF R744 AS LIQUID COOLANT IN REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS

R744 is a nomenclature used in industry to indicate carbon dioxide, a gas used predominantly as a liquid coolant in refrigeration systems, commercial and industrial.
The use of R744 as a refrigerant has been completely re-evaluated in recent decades because of environmental issues such as global warming and the toxicity of some components.
The advantages of the R744 are mainly in its low environmental impact: R744 it is not toxic, not flammable and contributes to reduced global warming.
Although not yet identified a replacement for the standard use of HFCs in refrigeration, the R744 is rapidly spreading in many countries, where some regulations encourage the use.
A major difficulty in using the R744 is given by the high pressure (up to 130 bar) and are therefore required components and systems capable of operating at high pressure systems, with high resistance.
Teklab, an italian manufacturer, is one of those companies that offer systems that can operate at high pressure. You can have a look at theirproducts for r744 refrigeration systems.

Difference Between : EN8 & MS Material

What is the difference between EN8 and MS material? Answer : EN 8  Material MS Material EN 8 material has higher tensile strength. MS material has comparatively low tensile strength. EN 8 material applicable when high strength required. MS material is applicable when high strength not required. EN 8 material contain 0.4% C MS material contain up to 0.25% C EN 8 material is use when other heat treatment process is carried out on it. MS material is use when no need of other heat treatment process on it. EN 8 material can use instead of MS material. MS material can not use instead of EN 8 material. Material is more expensive then MS. Material is less expensive then EN 8. Let me know if there is a addition of point or correction in any point.
