Annealing Process

Annealing is a opposite process of hardening process.

Why annealing process have to perform :

Relieve internal stress
Soften material
Increase ductility
Refine the grain structure

Process :

Material is heated above the re-crystallization temperature and hold material at specific temperature and time. And last material is cool at room temperature.

Cooling process is depend upon the metal and required properties.

Usually material are cooled inside the furnace. Also material is cooled by burying them in ashes, lime, or other insulating materials.

Difference Between : EN8 & MS Material

What is the difference between EN8 and MS material? Answer : EN 8  Material MS Material EN 8 material has higher tensile strength. MS material has comparatively low tensile strength. EN 8 material applicable when high strength required. MS material is applicable when high strength not required. EN 8 material contain 0.4% C MS material contain up to 0.25% C EN 8 material is use when other heat treatment process is carried out on it. MS material is use when no need of other heat treatment process on it. EN 8 material can use instead of MS material. MS material can not use instead of EN 8 material. Material is more expensive then MS. Material is less expensive then EN 8. Let me know if there is a addition of point or correction in any point.
