Extrude Feature

Feature : Extrude

  • Select Extrude feature as shown above.
  • Below screen appear. There are total 3 number is identified.
  • First one is Extrude As Solid.
    • This is used when you have to create solid parts.
  • Second one is Extrude As Surface.
    • This is used when you have to create surface parts.
  • Here we choose Extrude As Solid. And then click on third highlighted button Define.
  • Another box will open as shown below.
  • Now, you have to select plan on which you will draw 2D drawing and it will convert into 3D model. So choose accordingly.
  • Two way to choose the plan.
    1. Directly select from red rectangle at which plan you will draw.
    2. Select from red circle at which plan you will draw.
  • Here I select TOP plan.
  • We select on one plan, but as per above picture two plan selected.
    1. Sketch Plan : Top Plan show as per our selection.
    2. Sketch Orientation (Reference plan) : Right plan shows.
  • After click on Sketch. After that click on Sketch View button.
  • Your selected plan is in front of you.
  • In top tabs, Sketch tab is added with at the end of  OK or Cancel button.
  • When your sketch is complete then click on OK.
  • Here, you have to draw a circle.
  • And click OK. After that press CTRL+D. Then you can view like below.
  • As shown white rectangle in middle of circle, you can drag and resize the length of object.
  • Or you can specify the length of object by editing number with required length. Suppose, it was 500 mm.
  • Now click on OK button and you 3D rod is created.
