Properties of Material

Strengths of material

Strength of material is a ability of material to withstand an applied load without failure or plastic deformation.

Tensile Strength

Tensile strength is a ability of material to be stretched or pulled without breaking.

Toughness

Toughness is the amount of energy per unit volume that a material can absorb before rupturing.

Brittleness

A material called brittle, when material subjected to stress then it breaks without significant plastic deformation.

Plasticity

Property of a material to be deformed repeatedly without rapture by the action of a force, and remain deform after force removed.

Elasticity

Property of a material to be deformed repeatedly without rapture by the action of a force, after removing material it regain it's original shape.
