What is Sand Casting Process?

Sand casting is a process in which required molten metal is poured with required temperature into the sand mold.

Which type of casting can manufacture from sand casting process?

This process is used to produce wide verity of casting and complex in geometry. Size of this kind of casting is very from small to very large.

Process of sand casting:

  1. Create Pattern for Desired Casting only one time
  2. Using Pattern, build Sand Mold in Mold Box with proper getting system
  3. Remove pattern and clamp Mold Cavity
  4. Pour molten metal in Mold Cavity
  5. Give time to pouring material for cooling
  6. Break sand mold and getting casting out

Difference Between : EN8 & MS Material

What is the difference between EN8 and MS material? Answer : EN 8  Material MS Material EN 8 material has higher tensile strength. MS material has comparatively low tensile strength. EN 8 material applicable when high strength required. MS material is applicable when high strength not required. EN 8 material contain 0.4% C MS material contain up to 0.25% C EN 8 material is use when other heat treatment process is carried out on it. MS material is use when no need of other heat treatment process on it. EN 8 material can use instead of MS material. MS material can not use instead of EN 8 material. Material is more expensive then MS. Material is less expensive then EN 8. Let me know if there is a addition of point or correction in any point.
